To put things simply, players can currently get one additional equipment slot by unlocking the Arsenal, a Golden Card that becomes available after constructing the Smelter at camp. Notably, this structure also gives fans access to the Storm Temple card when built, which can be used create Burned Forests in Loop Hero. These two offerings make the Smelter quite a powerful building, and players that prioritize its establishment are likely to be pleased by the results.

With respect to exactly what equipment slot is unlocked by obtaining the Arsenal, that completely depends on the Loop Hero class that a fan is using for their playthrough. More specifically, Warriors will unlock the Helmet slot, Rogues will unlock the Amulet slot, and Necromancers will unlock the Shield slot. Indeed, this is all that is currently possible in terms of gaining additional gear slots, and not even obtaining a second Arsenal, something that will very rarely occur when dispatching Prime Matter, will change that fact.

Loop Hero players may now note that there are two equipment slots that have been left unaddressed by this guide, and those are the Gloves and Belt slots. These omissions are due to the fact that those slots cannot be unlocked at the time of writing, and the cracked nature of the in-game icons seems to hint at that inaccessibility. Some fans theorize that this may change with the addition of a fourth class sometime in the future, though there has been no official word on that from developer Four Quarters or publisher Devolver Digital.

As such, players will need to find a way to get through Loop Hero’s chapters, some of which can prove quite difficult, with just one additional equipment slot for the time being. While this may seem like a tall order at first, fans that work to learn the ins and outs of this unique roguelike are sure to eventually achieve victory and break the loop once and for all.

Loop Hero is available on PC.
