The Reds view the 22-year-old as an ideal replacement for Divock Origi, who looks set to leave Merseyside this summer. According to Voetbal International, Liverpool are currently in pole position to sign Donyell Malen but will face heavy competition from Barcelona. Donyell Malen joined PSV’s youth set-up in 2017 before making his debut for the senior team in 2018. He became a regular member of PSV Eindhoven’s starting XI in the 2018-19 season, during which he made 42 appearances and scored 11 goals....

The Reds, however, are confident they will not face the same fate as Chelsea and Barcelona did this season. The Netherlands international will not come cheap as he has a six-year contract with the club and will also be targeted by several other big clubs. But Klopp has a way of convincing players with his ideologies and passion, similar to the way he managed to usher Sadio Mane to Liverpool in the summer....

The visitors will be fresh and raring to go after being rested in the weekend. The hosts have been dealt a huge blow even before kicking the ball after Jurgen Klopp confirmed that their Premier League top scorer Mohamed Salah will out of the fixture with an injury....

Liverpool have recovered well from the shock of last Saturday’s Merseyside Derby, with two hard-fought wins in three days. Now, with important players back from injury, Jurgen Klopp will hope that his side can hit their stride, and build up a head of steam, as the fixtures come at them thick and fast....

The Reds also secured a place in the knock-out phase of the UEFA Champions League and capped off a perfect December with their first Club World Cup title in Qatar. Sheffield are not the most daunting prospect that Klopp and his men will face this season, but the Blades will undoubtedly provide a stern test to the home side as they aim to replicate their impressive first half of the season....

Cheney made a point to directly appeal to her colleagues during a meeting on Wednesday to take up a resolution finding former Donald Trump associate Steve Bannon in criminal contempt for defying the House panel’s subpoena and refusing to cooperate in the probe. The Wyoming Republican said she’s heard from several GOP members that they “don’t want this target on their back” and that they’re “trying to keep their heads down” on the issue....

According to Oregon Live, Upper McKenzie Rural Fire Protection District Chief Christiana Rainbow Plews, known locally as Chief Rainbow, has been battling the Holiday Farm Fire in Lane County with her crew. But while she saved buildings and lives in the area, her own family home and the local fire station were being destroyed by the inferno in Vida. As the local hero plowed on through the night with her volunteer crew, she managed to get through to her son to alert her family to get out of the area, knowing the fire was spreading....
